Efren Peñaflorida is been nominated as CNN Hero of Year Award for his pushcart classroom in the Philippines bringing education to poor children as an alternative to gang membership. Well, I voted for Efren and I was one of the hopefuls for Efren to win this. Few hours ago, Efren indeed made it to the top winning over 2 million votes worldwide. Congratulations Efren. Indeed this year is full of blessings for all Filipinos around the globe.
